I had the wonderful opportunity to sit down and chat with three special individuals at Camas High School and talk about the upcoming production Chemogirl and other Plays! that will be showcased on Friday, October 7th at Camas High School Auditorium. House opens at 6:30 and the curtain goes up at 7:00. All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Light the Night walk to help support research for blood cancers. What a great fundraiser for our community to rally around. Raising funds for cancer research and supporting Camas High School Theater. Please consider supporting.

Mental Health Awareness-The Children’s Center
I’m wrapping up my interviews for the Mental Health Awareness month of May. I had the wonderful opportunity of touring the Children’s Center and learning about what a great resource that offers specialized outpatient mental health counseling and psychiatric services for children and adolescents. They also offer services for the uninsured and underinsured. Hear about a great fundraiser luncheon with author Patrick Kennedy as the special keynote speaker on June 17th at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA. I hope one of my interviews this month has helped educate, break the stigma and start the dialogue about mental health. You are not alone. There are resources and help for you. Let’s be a community that cares and supports all.
