Nuestra Mesa in Camas!
Nuestra Mesa, it means ‘our table’ in Spanish. I love this great Mexican restaurant right in downtown Camas where you can go for happy hour, lunch, dinner and now brunch. Virtuosity Senior Dancers
What a wonderful and inspiring interview I had with the Virtuosity senior tappers. This beautiful group of women is led by the lovely and talented Candace Miller. They are so fun and I loved how supportive they are to one another while building strong friendships. I hope to have a team of women like this as I continue in life. These ladies will be dancing at the Virtuosity dance recital at Washburn Auditorium June 9th at 6:30 and June 10th at 11:30. Come see them and all the other wonderful dancers from Virtuosity Performing Arts Studio. Enjoy life with the zest like these fabulous ladies!
Camas High School amazing DECA program
I had the wonderful honor of getting to chat with the advisors and senior officers of the DECA club at Camas High School. This group of young people are AMAZING. From the moment they walked into the room and came up to shake my hand and make eye contact with me I was impressed. Downtown Camas Spring Clean Up and Planting Day!
Be a part of your community and come to downtown Camas on April, 23rd at 12:30 for some lunch at Journey church and to help clean up and make our downtown Camas beautiful. What a way to celebrate the day after Earth Day. Help beautify our city and join in with others in our community. Chatting about Earth Day with first graders at Helen Baller Elementary
My co-anchor Brooksley and I sat down with some pretty great 1st graders at Helen Baller to talk about Earth Day, what they love about the Earth and some ideas about how to make it better! Listening to these kids will lift your spirit and hopefully inspire you to take part in keeping our Earth fabulous. Earth Day is April 22nd this year. Building Community at Grass Valley Elementary
Last spring I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Grass Valley Elementary and talk to the students about the teachers in their community and what THEY can do in their community to make it better, brighter and stronger. At Barre3 with the Corey Family~Sadie, Katie and Adam
Last week I had the honor of meeting and chatting with the Corey family at Barre3. This Friday, February 24th, Barre3 will be hosting an evening of giving where you can attend two classes (4:15pm and 5:30pm) with ALL proceeds ($20 suggested donation) going to support the Corey’s as they endure the road ahead. I was drawn to the Corey family not only because of their sweet daughter Sadie but I’ve also been so inspired at how supportive and wonderful local businesses and individuals have been for this family. If you haven’t heard this is the first year for the Camas based middle school, The Gryphons. It opened this fall to 120 students who are learning lessons and meeting state standards in a project based learning environment. I got to check out the campus and sit down with the principal Aaron Smith to talk about how this school is doing and what is on the horizon.
