Hey kids! I was able to get a few minutes with Santa and Mrs. Claus to chat with them about how things are going preparing for Christmas this year! He sees first hand how wonderful our students and staff are in our district, and also where we need to be involved and aware to help our students that are struggling. Suicide Awareness – A story of hope for our community
Sheryl and her husband lost their son in August of 2016 to suicide. While processing through their grief, they started a movement called Our City Cares. You may have noticed the signs of hope posted around our community. Don’t Give Up. You Are Not Alone. Your Life Matters. Your Mistakes Don’t Define You. There is Hope. Comparison is the thief of Joy. There are also handouts with crisis hotline information and support locations at the schools for students in need. Please listen to Sheryl’s story and think how YOU can be an ambassador of hope in our community for someone struggling. We are all connected. Thank you.
